Foto: Mike MuizebeltBorn and raised in the south of Germany Heike Odermatt live since her 16th in the southern part of Netherland. Her love for beautiful nature photos was early born. As a child she was fond of pictures and she dreamed themselves to stand behind the camera and photograph the wild animals and lovely landscapes. But she never thought that it would come true.

Naturephotography
In 2002 she decided to seriously address the nature photography to keep busy. Her first Iceland Travel was her first trip purely in the name of nature photography. "It is an indescribable feeling to be able to experience Nature in this way." In the meantime, nature and wildlife photography become for her more than a passion ... it is a way of life.

"Nature is like a book, that no man can ever read out. Every time you go back to nature it seems like the book is getting thicker and thicker." She practices nature photography in a fair and responsible manner. We are after all a guest in nature.

Heike Odermatt is member of the NFG (Nature Photographers Guild) and the GDT (Society of Nature Photography).
