Awarded by the 'European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2020'

Not expected, but succeeded: I am extremely happy that my image 'Illiusion' has won an awards in the landscape category by the 'European Wildlife Photographer of the Year' (EWPOTY) or 'Europäischer Naturfotograf des Jahres' (ENJ) and also that a few friends and colleagues of mine are among the winners! Cheers to all award winners!

Due to the corona pandemic, the international nature photo festival in Lünen was canceled and the prize-giving ceremony also had to be given in a virtual look. A big thanks to the organizers for the great presentation!

Many will wonder what they actually see here. I have photographed this photo from the plane and you can see a mountain top of Spitsbergen and a play of light and shadow, due to the lower position of the sun.
